Peer-2-Peer Fundraising Tools
What is Peer-to-Peer Fundraising?
Peer-to-Peer fundraising is simply a method where individuals raise money on behalf of a nonprofit organization by asking their personal networks to consider donating to the non-profit organization, and possibly even going to the next level by asking their personal networks to give too.
What platforms do I have to use?
The choice of how to ask is totally up to you. You may use e-mail, social media, face-to-face or voice-to-voice communications. The key is to take sincere action.
Where and how do people give?
There are 2 options for fundraisers to offer supporters/donors:
- Provide you, the fundraiser, with a check made out to “Seniors First” or “Seniors First, the Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging”, or
- Donate online using the link you provide from your fundraising page in Givebutter.
Supporters/donors may choose to use major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH (direct bank transfer), text or checks. Donors may mail in checks if that is their preferred method of giving.
